Hi, I’m Linda Reader, the Head Trainer, Tellington TTouch® Practitioner and Professional Dog Groomer at Poochabilities. With a lifelong passion for dogs and a deep commitment to their well-being, I’m here to help you and your canine companion build a trusting, positive relationship—whether through training, grooming, or both.
A Lifetime of Experience with Dogs
Dogs have always been at the heart of my life. I’ve shared my home with an Australian Terrier, a Border Collie, a Border Collie/Poodle cross, and four Standard Poodles, each teaching me something new about behaviour, training, and care. My hands-on experience extends across a variety of disciplines, from
working sheepdogs in trials in Tasmania to competing in agility, grooming competitions, and even showing one of my Poodles at Crufts. Currently, I’m training an assistance dog and developing my scent work skills with another of my Poodles.

A Highly Qualified & Experienced Dog Groomer
With more than 15 years of professional grooming experience, I am a City & Guilds Level 3 Professional Pet Stylist (Distinction) and have run my own successful grooming business while also teaching dog grooming at a college. Over the years, I have competed in grooming competitions and continuously expanded my expertise through CPD courses on breed standards and co-operative grooming methods.
I specialise in dog-centred, co-operative grooming, creating a stress-free, positive experience for every dog. I also offer one-to-one sessions for both dog owners and groomers who want to learn more about using a gentle, consent-based grooming approach in their own salons.
